Puppy Preschool
The Socialization period for dogs is 8-16 weeks of age. During this time puppies are forming attitudes and opinions that can last a lifetime; this is also prime time for you to help develop, and bond with your puppy as a well-mannered and an enjoyable member of the family!
Puppy Preschool will teach you how: provide structure, leadership & build confidence,housebreak your puppy,begin teaching commands like "Come," "Sit" & "Off," to name a few, along with other basic manners,prevent typical behaviors such as biting, chewing, jumping, leash pulling, mounting, food/toy possession-aggression & persistent barking from becoming becoming bad habits,properly socialize your puppy with children, new people and other puppies & dogs,play positive games with your puppy,groom your puppy and maintain & provide basic health care; handle medical/CPR/choking emergencies.
Expose your puppy to a variety of socialization activities including: new people, children & other puppies,confidence building through leadership, noice/sound socialization, puppy playtime and introduction to our puppy sized agility course.
Attendance Requirements include: puppies between the ages of 8-16 weeks old (small/minature breeds accepted up 20 weeks of age). Puppies have lived with you in your home for a minimum of 10 days.Puppies must be seen by a Veterinarian at Winslow Animal Hospital, determined to be in good health, up to date on vaccinations for their age, INCLUDING the Bordetella(kennel cough) vaccine.
